Final Sponsor Presentation

(50 points)

  • Many teams will do their final sponsor presentation the morning of the Design Fair during the 8-10am Capstone time. You do not have to do it on this date, but many sponsors enjoy attending the Design Fair after the presentations, so this is often a good day to do it.
  • The team must schedule this WELL IN ADVANCE with the sponsor. We recommend checking with your sponsor in January/February to get it on everyone's calendars.
  • Email your pod instructor AND your External Relations Manager (Allyson or Lisa) the date and time for your presentation.
  • Contact Allyson (Long, Nordin, Lunt) or Lisa (Davies, Jensen) to schedule a room for your sponsor presentation. On Design Fair day, they will have all of the team rooms reserved and will schedule teams in those and other spaces appropriately.
  • Plan on up to an hour for your final presentation to your sponsor. If your sponsor requests more time, please accommodate their request.
  • Please encourage the sponsor to invite as many people to attend as they would like to have attend

Final Design Package for Sponsor

(100 points)

  1. This submission is the revised and polished version of what the team submitted with the Final Project Design Review Executive Summary and Final Design Package. Feedback from coaches, pod instructor, and external relations should have been considered and appropriately incorporated. This design package should ensure maximum transferability to your sponsor. This is submitted on deOpus.
  2. This submission - which will be graded by your pod instructor - must also include a memo (as the first page of the PDF submission) that includes a list of changes that have been made since this was first submitted for the Final Project Design Review ES and Final Design Package submission.
  3. This second version of your final design package must be sent to your sponsor NO LATER THAN April 16. Copy allyson_gibson@byu.edu (Long, Nordin, Lunt) or lisa_barrager@byu.edu (Davies, Jensen) on the email when you send your sponsor this final design package. Be sure to reference your team number somewhere in the email (subject line or signature is fine for this one).

What your pod instructor will consider when grading:

  • Is a memo included that clearly lists what has changed since the first submission of the final design package?
  • Has the team incorporated feedback from the Final Project Review?
  • Does the final design package include everything the sponsor needs to implement or continue development with the project?
  • Is the final design package presented professionally?
